‘Bay Lavi’ fundraiser for Haiti Nov. 3 -- Hope for Haitians will hold its fundraiser “Bay Lavi” (“give life”) on Nov. 3, 6-10:30 p.m., at Eagle Brook Country Club, 2288 Fargo Blvd.  Funds will support construction of a new village in north Haiti. A cocktail hour and silent auction will be 6-7 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7-8:15 p.m., ending with games, photo booth and more. Suggested wear is semi-formal with black, white and red. Ticket sales start Nov. 4 for vocations raffle -- St. Patrick Parish’s Knights of Columbus Council #16446 will hold its annual raffle to benefit the Knights’ Illinois Vocations Support Program. Tickets are $1 each or $15/book, and are available after all Masses Nov. 4-5 and Nov. 11-12. Afterward, check with the parish office at 815-385-0025. The drawing will be Dec. 1; the 20 prizes will include $10,000 for first, $2,500 for second, and $1,000 for third through sixth.
