Diocese of Rockford Parishioners Invested into Equestrian Order

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The North Central Lieutenancy USA of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem held its annual investiture weekend Sept. 15-18 in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The weekend culminated Sept. 17 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with the investing of 31 new members from six states into the Order, along with the promotion of 12 members to Knight Commander, six to Dame Commander, four to Knight Commander with Star, five to Dame Commander with Star, four to Knight Grand Cross and three to Dame Grand Cross.
Invested into the Order from the Diocese of Rockford were two members of parishes in St. Charles: Dame
Ann M. Edwards, DHS, of St. John Neumann Parish, and Deacon Steven R. Jolly, KHS, of St. Patrick Parish.
The accolades were conferred by Bishop Jerome E. Listecki, KC*HS, Archbishop of Milwaukee and the Lieutenancy’s Coadjutant Prior.
The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre is a Papal Order of Knighthood under the protection of the Holy See. Members of the Order must live a life devoted to and commensurate with the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church. The Order provides financial support for the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the charitable works of the Church in the Holy Land. Today the Order numbers over 30,000 members worldwide.
The North Central Lieutenancy covers the states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
