DIOCESE—Celebrations of Las Posadas taking place around the Diocese of Rockford include the following. Find details at the parish websites. 

 

AURORA

Sacred Heart: 125 N. State St.

All nights start with a rosary at 5:45 p.m., followed by Mass at 6:30 p.m. and a piñata at 7 p.m.

St. Nicholas: 308 High St.  

All nights include Mass, a rosary and posadas.

-- Dec. 16: 6:30 p.m.

-- Dec. 17: 5:15 p.m.

-- Dec. 18: 5 p.m.

-- Dec. 19-23: 6:30 p.m.

 

MCHENRY

Holy Apostles: 5211 W. Bull Valley Rd. 

All nights start at 6:30 p.m. in the church and end with a gathering and refreshments in the parish Sherry Center.

-- Dec. 16-18, 20-23; no posadas on Dec. 19 due to Simbang Gabi (see left). 

 

ROCKFORD

St. Edward: 3004 11th St.

All nights start in the church, followed by a gathering in the community center or gym (announced at each Mass).

-- Dec. 15: 6 p.m.

-- Dec. 16-17: 6:30 p.m.

-- Dec. 18: 7 p.m.

-- Dec. 19-23: 6:30 p.m.

 

SOUTH BELOIT

St. Peter: 620 Blackhawk Blvd. 

All begin after Spanish Mass, 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, 12:30 p.m. on Sundays.
