CRYSTAL LAKE—Reservations are open for the May 11 prayer breakfast at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 1023 McHenry Ave., here.

 

The breakfast is sponsored by the “Mary, Mother of the Eucharist” McHenry chapter of Magnificat, an international ministry program for Catholic women.

 

Seating will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by breakfast, open to both men and women (including nursing mothers), at 9 a.m. 

 

Sister Appolonia Irika of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Mother of Mercy (DMMM) is the planned speaker. She ministered in Rome and Sicily before pursuing further education in the United States. 

 

She felt called to serve as a chaplain in community hospitals, and she now serves at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
