DIOCESE—Singers are welcome to join the Rockford Diocese Chorale beginning this weekend with rehearsals for Lent events. Each rehearsal lasts one and a half hours. Dates, locations and times are:

Feb. 18: 10:30 a.m., St. Catherine, 845 W. Main St., West Dundee

Feb. 24: 7 p.m., St. Peter, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva

March 2: 7 p.m., Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St.,  Rockford

March 25: 10:30 a.m., St. Catherine, 845 W. Main St., West Dundee

March 31: 7 p.m., St. Peter, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva

April 8: 10:30 a.m., Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St.,  Rockford

Choir perfomances will be:

March 4:  Rite of Election, 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (choir call 8:30 a.m), Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St., Rockford

April 13:  Chrism Mass, 11 a.m. (choir call 9 a.m.), Cathedral of St. Peter, 1243 N. Church St., Rockford

The Diocesan Chorale will also perform at the ordination Mass  for priests on May 13, which is the 100th anniversary of Fatima. Ordination music packets will be available after the Rite of Election and singers will be working on that music simultaneously with the Chrism Mass music.

Vocalists in soprano, alto, tenor and bass ranges are needed.
