Father Timothy Mulcahey Appointed Pastor of OLGC Parish in Aurora

AURORA—Father Timothy Mulcahey became pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Aurora on March 12.
 
This 1979 Boylan Central Catholic High School graduate also attended Rockford College in Rockford.
 
He began seminary studies with the Legionaires of Christ in Cheshire, Conn., eventually attending Legionairies Seminary in Salamanca, Spain. He  graduated from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. 
 
He was ordained to the priesthood on Dec. 24, 1997, by Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli in Rome.
 
Now a priest of the Diocese of Rockford, Father Mulcahey served in this diocese first as a parochial vicar at St. Rita of Cascia in Aurora, from June 15, 2014 to June 15, 2015. 
 
He then began service as administrator of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, serving in that position until being appointed pastor of that parish last month.
