Substantial donations from two anonymous donors provided tuition help for special student populations at two diocesan Catholic elementary schools,  as well as assistance to the Catholic Charities Ombudsman program, which serves residents of nursing homes.

Both Patrick Winn, director of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Rockford, and Michael Kagan, superintendant of diocesan Catholic Schools, expressed their gratitude for this opportunity for the diocesan Education and Catholic Charities offices to work together for the benefit of refugee and immigrant families who value Catholic education for their children.
