St. Anthony Parishioner Honored For Service

ROCKFORD—James Hankins received the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony of Padua Parish Lifetime Service Award from Father Carl Beekman, pastor, at the 8 a.m. Mass, Aug. 14.  
 
Hankins was recognized for his years of service to the parish and the society. That includes being in charge of the kitchen for the parish’s annual St. Joseph Altar as well as other breakfasts, dinners and fundraisers for church and society members. He is a past president of the Holy Name Society and has served as treasurer for more than six years. He also is long-time usher.
 
The award read: “Lifetime Service Award to James Hankins, in recognition of his dedication and leadership to the Holy Name Society and St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Your exceptional contributions as a society officer and skillful management in providing excellent food service for many events stand out as examples to all Holy Name members.”
