Waterleaf ‘Evening of Hope’ gala Feb. 3
Waterleaf Women’s Center will hold its “Evening of Hope” gala Feb. 3, 6-10 p.m., at Glen Ellyn’s Abbington Distinctive Banquets, 3S002 Route 53 (corner of Rte. 53 and Butterfield Rd.). Begins with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and musical entertainment. Cost: $75. Register at onechoiceonelife.org

Marmion raffle holds drawing Feb. 28, grand prize June 7
Marmion Academy’s alumni association is holding its 33rd annual “Big Ticket Raffle” to support the schools’ scholarships and financial aid. Tickets are on sale for $100; only 1,000 tickets available. A grand prize drawing for $25,000 will be June 7. Early bird drawings Feb. 28 (1 winner, $500) and April 17 (2 winners, $300 each). Additional prizes awarded. Buy tickets at www.marmion.org/raffle

Eucharistic Miracles exhibit opens Jan. 27
St. Mary Parish will host the traveling International Eucharistic Miracles of the World exhibit in the gym of the ministry center behind the church, 329 Pine St. Will include Spanish posters. The exhibit will be open Jan. 27-28 and Feb. 3-4. Saturday hours are 4-5 p.m. and 6-7 p.m.; Sunday hours are 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2:30-6:30 p.m. Cost: none.

Winter Bags game Feb. 3
The Knights of Columbus Council #11666 at St. Mary Parish will hold a Bags tournament Feb. 3 in the parish hall, 10307 Dundee Rd. Check-in at 9:15-9:45 a.m.; starts at 10 a.m. Participants must be at least 13 years old. Baby supply drives start Jan. 27
The Cathedral of St. Peter and All Saints Catholic Academy will hold “Baby Love” donation drives to gather baby supplies (diapers, wipes and Desitin) for the St. Elizabeth Catholic Community Center. The Cathedral parish drive will be Jan. 27-Feb. 11 at 1243 N. Church St. The school drive will be Feb. 5-9 at 409 N. First St. Contact Mary O’Grady, RN, BSN, CFCP with questions at 815-847-9507. 
 
Book reflection and sharing Feb. 8
St. Patrick Parish will host a book reflection and sharing meeting Feb. 8, 6 p.m., in the parish center/office, 2505 School St. Will discuss “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist” by Dr. Brant Pitre. Copies available in the parish office for purchase at $6. 
 
Marriage on Tap Feb. 13
Holy Family Parish will host a “Marriage on Tap” night Feb. 13, 5:30 p.m., in the St. Gabriel parish hall, 4401 Highcrest Rd. The guest speaker will be Doug Hinderer, Relevant Radio talk show host and a liscensed marriage and family therapist. Cost: $30/couple; dinner included. $30 childcare voucher available upon request.
