National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States.  It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which is January 25 – 31.   The theme for 2015 is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”   Schools typically observe the annual celebration with Masses, open houses and other activities that involve the students, families, parishioners, and community members

At this time we would like to announce our 3rd annual nomination for Outstanding Catholic Educator Award. This award is sponsored by The Observer and The Department of Educational Services.

We have many fine teachers who epitomize the modeling of our faith, wonderful teaching styles and leading great mission projects in our classrooms and entire schools.    We want to recognize teachers from four different areas of our diocese.  The nomination page can be found on the www.rockforddiocese.org/education website.  The last day to nominate will be Friday, January 9, 2015.

The awards will be given out during Catholic Schools Week.
