AURORA—A new reliquary display at St. Therese of Jesus in Aurora was blessed by Father Michael Miller, MSC, pastor, after the 4 p.m. Mass July 9.

For many years the church has had several relics but they were never on display. After the death of Ann Prisco in 2014, her family approached Father Miller about making donations to the parish in her honor, as well as honoring their father, Anthony Prisco.

Members of the family coordinated the effort  to house the relics. They had them  identified and authenticated, as well as having the case constructed and installed.

Anthony Prisco, the family’s eight children and their extended families attended the Mass and were present for the blessing.

The event became even more special to the family after Anthony Prisco died July 31. He was buried Aug. 5.
